School Policies and Practices to Improve Health and Prevent Obesity: National Secondary School Survey Results

This report examines secondary school policies and practices relevant to nutrition, physical activity and obesity prevention during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years. Findings are based on surveys of administrators at public middle and high schools.

In 2006, Bridging the Gap began an ongoing, large-scale study to gather nationally representative data about school district policies and school practices relevant to childhood obesity.
